HAPPY NEW YEAR

As the 2024 season comes to an end, I am excited to share a recap of our third year in Davis Altman Art with you. 2024 has been a full and meaningful year. 

We kicked it off by introducing my dad’s sketches with 2 sketches exhibits; one in January and one in February. With mini prints as well as larger prints available from these Sketches exhibits that are fabulous! In the Spring I introduced oil and acrylics for the first time in an exhibit dedicated to those mediums. And then back to mostly watercolors for ‘take a hike’ in Summer! I am most proud of the ‘Hit the Books’ posters introduced in Fall 2023 for back to school with 3 all new author illustration posters

(16 x 20) designed with my dad’s mini author portraits of his favorite writers for fall 2024 ‘One for the Books!’ We have 8 designs total now with 100 authors represented in total.  I custom-designed these and I know my dad would be thrilled with the outcome. And this year, we made limited edition 6x8 postcards of these posters for Anthropologie Keirland’s Back to School shopping event as well as custom orders for local Book Clubs. This year we also designed our second custom desk calendar with 12 favorites from past exhibits. The calendars are 5x7, excellent quality and are stunning. They include a birch wood block stand. available online. Our last exhibit of 2024 “Thankful” launched in late November, with all new mini and larger prints offered. 

This December, I partnered with Anthro Kierland. We featured prints from previous exhibits including some framed in “one of a kind” vintage frames as well as the desk calendars in the Anthro Holiday Pop Up! It was a festive high energy successful event.  Looking forward to more such events in 2025.
