ONE FOR THE BOOKS

“We read to know we are not alone.” – C.S. Lewis

“Reading without reflecting is like eating without digesting.” Edmund Burke

With “back to school” season in full swing, this exhibit’s theme is ‘One for the Books!”

We have designed 3 ALL NEW posters. These compliment last years’ 5 posters with all new portraits.

These high-end “posters” (rather than limited prints, ) are custom designs from my dad’s portrait sketches of his favorite authors. I initially came up with the concept for my dad, as he has so many of these little portraits. The portrait images are small and colorful and look amazing grouped together. I designed these poster with Lizzie and Tony (of Berkeley Giclee) ‘s help. Printed on high quality archival stock paper (more poster quality than the heavy rag cotton watercolor prints,) with archival ink, they are more like posters and a tad larger, 16x20.

My dad was an avid reader. There was a period of time, where he would write up a “book report,” along with a watercolor sketch of each “author,” after completing a book. My dad read hundreds of books. (And then later in life, listened to books on audible). He painted over a hundred of these mini portraits of the “writers.” These writers are the stars of this exhibit.

These posters would make an incredible addition to anyone’s home library, living room, den or office. Buy one, or a grouping; they make great gifts. I love them and my dad would be absolutely thrilled with the result!

Carrying with the theme, we have tote bags. These canvas totes are durable and just the right size and weight, cotton twill in natural, with our cute logo! These are so great!
